DELIVERY

A delivery charge will be added to your order where appropriate. You will be notified of the delivery cost for your order before you submit your credit card details. 

Non Furniture Orders (£3.50)
Goods are normally dispatched within 1 working day of receipt of your order. Once your order has been dispatched you will be informed by email. 

Larger non Furniture Orders (£6.50)

Due to their size and in some cases fragility delivery for items such as vintage mirrors, blackboards and knitted pouffes etc is charged at £6.50. Goods are normally dispatched within 2 working days of receipt of your order. Once your order has been dispatched you will be informed by email.

Small Furniture (£10.00)
Some small furniture items and bulk small orders will be dispatched by Parcel Force.This is to keep the delivery charge as low as possible. Our couriers deliver between 9am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. The Other Duckling values your security. To safeguard this, a signature is required to acknowledge receipt of goods.

If no-one is in to sign for the goods, a card will be left with a phone number on to re-arrange delivery . We are happy to send items as gifts for people, but, to avoid confusion, please inform them in advance that a parcel from The Other Duckling is going to be delivered.

Although we work closely with our couriers to ensure the best possible service and convenient delivery times, we regret that delays sometimes occur which are outside our control.

Standard Furniture Delivery from £35 (CURRENTLY NO ITEMS OF THIS NATURE LISTED ON THE WEBSITE)
Goods will be delivered to you within 1-3 weeks of receipt of your order unless you have ordered an out of stock item in which case the goods will be delivered to you within 1-2 weeks of us receiving the supplier delivery. Furniture Orders can take up to 6- 12 weeks, however we always try our upmost to deliver as soon as possible. We will contact you once your order is complete in order to arrange your delivery date and time slot. If the product is an out of stock item there will be a lead time quoted on the order confirmation email. The lead-time quoted is given in good faith. The lead-time is the number of weeks we expect it will take to receive your furniture into our warehouse. Once the furniture has arrived at our warehouse we will contact you within 2-3 days to arrange your delivery. If the product is available straight away then we will contact you within 2-3 days to arrange your delivery.

The lead-time is based on the best available information from our suppliers at the time of purchase. Where any delay occurs we will notify you by phone or email at the earliest opportunity.

We try and keep to our standard delivery charge. However some products are fragile and require specialist carriers, are heavy and oversized or require extra insurance. To avoid customer disappointment and offer the best service some deliveries will have to incur an extra charge. Deliveries are made by our special furniture vans or our courier partners and they take place Monday to Friday. The day(s) and times that we deliver to your area will be discussed with you when we call you. Each day is split into a.m. and p.m. The Other Duckling values your security. To safeguard this, a signature is required to acknowledge receipt of goods.

We make every effort to carry out deliveries on the date and in the time slot quoted. The delivery date and time slot we give to you is an estimate given in good faith. If we subsequently learn that the estimate is inaccurate, we will endeavour to inform you using the contact numbers you have given us.

Please consider the following factors that may prevent us from completing a standard delivery: red routes and parking restrictions; delivery vehicle size restrictions; restricted access into property due to the size of the ground floor entrance; restricted access within the property to the intended delivery location. Such factors may require alternative delivery methods for which, in most cases, there is an additional charge. As standard practice our couriers will deliver to your porch/doorstep.If you require assistance moving the goods inside it is at the drivers discrection and any damage to property or product is the responsibility of the customer.

It is your responsibility to ensure that furniture from The Other Duckling will pass freely through doorways, passageways and awkward corners or turns. All our products on the website have clear measurements for height, width and depth. Should any furniture not fit through your access ways, we will not refund your delivery fee, and we will charge you a 20 % handling fee.

Our delivery team do not assemble any furniture. Most of our furniture does not come flat packed. If it is flatpacked we will inform you within the item description.

 
We are sorry but we do not currently deliver overseas.

RETURN / REFUND POLICY

If you are not satisfied with any purchase from our company simply return it within 14 days of your receipt of the goods, unused, in a re-saleable condition and in its original packaging with proof of purchase. We will gladly exchange the item(s) or refund your money. You will be responsible for the cost of return postage.  You must inform us of the cancellation of the purchase by phone and then confirm it in writing either by e-mail to hello@theotherduckling.co.uk or letter to 5 Hall Court, Botley Road, Shedfield, Hampshire SO32 2HL.

Please give us at least two weeks to process your refund once we’ve received the goods back.  If purchased by a card payment the refund will be credited to the appropriate card account. If we hold your email address we will send you an email confirming that we have refunded your card, otherwise we will contact you by telephone.

If payment was made by cheque or postal order we will refund by a similar method.
